Hosting a Parent Summit
Awake to Life conducts between 11-14 Parent Summits each year. They range in attendance size between several hundred to as intimate as thirty. Don’t let the size of your group keep you from hosting a Summit.
Hosting a Summit has the potential of exposing your ministry to hundreds in your community and school system as we assist you in promotional tools. For most groups, this will be the first time they have done a “big event” for parents. Our goal is to give both you and your parents a win all the details you need to get it off the ground and all the training your parents need to get them connected to their teens and your ministry.

SUMMIT COSTS
The fee to host a Parent Summit is dependent on the size of your group and other elements you may add into the weekend such as additional workshops or student presentation. Even though there is a fee for the training, we assure you the rate is within the budget of most ministries. Any travel and hotel costs for your trainer are the responsibility of the host group as well. If there is a flight and car rental required, there is a flat fee of $365 that usually covers al the travel expenses. If an overnight stay is required, the host is responsible for making the reservations. If you are concerned with the costs, please call and talk with Brian. He has NEVER had to turn a group away.
The fee for attendees is determined by the host site. The host can use this fee to help offset the costs to his/her ministry budget. Most groups charge between $10 and $20 per person.

SUMMIT SCHEDULE
There are three different schedule options for the Parent Summit in order to accommodate any group.
1. One Day Schedule: 9:00AM – 3:30PM on a Saturday with a thirty lunch.
(MOST POPULAR)
2. Two Day Schedule: Session One on Friday Night; Sessions Two and Three on Saturday AM.
3. Three Week Series: One session each week for three consecutive weeks. This works best for a school PTA/PTF environment.

SUMMIT PROMOTION
Even if you’ve never hosted a conference before, you can do this and do it well. You are responsible for providing at least two tech people to run sound, lighting, and video. We will provide you with easy to follow production charts with every element of the day clearly marked.
There are several video clips used during the conference that we will provide. Once you book your conference, we’ll send you an Event Rider with everything you’ll need to provide for the day to go well.
We’ll also provide you with suggested seating arrangements and ideas of how to promote your ministry to students and parents on the day of the conference. Every question you may have and all the details you need can be downloaded in the Parent Summit Host Packet.[/tab][tab id=”2″]
Promoting Your Summit
In order to have a great event people have to show up. We work hard to create multiple connecting points between you and your audience to make sure no parent can say, “I didn’t know about it.” We will help you communicate that this is the most important event for parents in your ministry year. We do that by creating seven promotional tools for your event.
With this promotional plan, you will have the opportunity to connect with parents using every form of media except billboard. We even provide you with a promotional timetable of when to use each contact point and how to maximize your exposure with them. Feel free to use any and all of these resources to promote your Summit.
